About what we do
Stories Across Borders is a student-led initiative which aims to educate Kiwis on what it’s like to be an immigrant in Aotearoa and their stories.
Stories Across Borders was founded to address the lack of a platform for immigrant voices to be heard and to humanize and give a face to the term of ‘immigrant’. Despite NZ receiving about 47.5k migrants every year, Kiwis are often not in tune or empathetic with the experiences and tribulations of immigrants.
Our purpose is to give Kiwis a glimpse into the lives and experiences of the people around them to help create a more inclusive and welcoming Aotearoa.
Our group consists of 4 year 12 students from Saint Kentigern College, our members include:
Nicolas Rivers – Founder and interviewer
Daniel Zhu – Web developer
Lachlan Gordon – Writer
Aadyn Ravindra – Transcriber
